Uttar Pradesh Government Farmer

UP Krishi Yantra Anudan Yojana (Farm Machinery Subsidy)

40 to 50 percent off farm machinery for general-category farmers, and up to 80 percent for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and small or marginal farmers

The state pays part of the cost when you buy farm equipment such as a tractor, a thresher or other machines. General-category farmers usually get 40 to 50 percent off, and Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and small or marginal farmers can get up to 80 percent off. This brings down the money you have to put up yourself.

Who can apply

  • Farmers of Uttar Pradesh with land in their name
  • Higher subsidy for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and small or marginal farmers
  • The machine must be bought from an approved dealer after your application is accepted

What to take with you

  • Aadhaar card
  • Land papers (khatauni)
  • Bank passbook
  • Caste certificate, if claiming the higher subsidy
  • Purchase bill of the machine

How to apply

Register on the UP Agriculture Department portal at upagriculture.com and apply under the Krishi Yantra section, or ask at the block agriculture office.

Rejected or still waiting? Check these first

Most applications fail for a correctable reason, not because the applicant was ineligible. Before assuming you do not qualify, check each of these:

  • Machine bought before the application was approved
  • Land record is outdated or not in the applicant's name
  • Bank details do not match Aadhaar, so the subsidy cannot be transferred

Still stuck after checking all of these? Tell us what happened and we will help you work out which office to approach.
