PM Swamitva Yojana (Property Card / Adhikar Patra)

A legal property card for your village house land that a bank can accept as security for a loan of up to roughly ₹5 lakh

Village residential land is mapped by drone survey and you are given a legal property card, called the Adhikar Patra. It is proof that the house land is yours. Once you have it, a bank can accept it as security for a loan of up to roughly ₹5 lakh.

Who can apply

  • Residents holding residential land in the village abadi area
  • Your village must have been covered by the drone survey
  • Possession of the plot as recorded in the survey

What to take with you

  • Aadhaar card
  • Any existing proof of possession of the house plot
  • Records held by the village panchayat or lekhpal

How to apply

The survey is done village by village, so ask the gram panchayat or the lekhpal whether your village has been surveyed and when the cards are being handed out. Details are at svamitva.nic.in.

Rejected or still waiting? Check these first

Most applications fail for a correctable reason, not because the applicant was ineligible. Before assuming you do not qualify, check each of these:

  • Village not yet covered by the drone survey
  • Dispute over who possesses the plot
  • Objection filed by another claimant during the survey period

Still stuck after checking all of these? Tell us what happened and we will help you work out which office to approach.
