Around 60 percent subsidy on solar fencing for your field
The state pays around 60 percent of the cost of putting a solar fence around your field. The fence keeps stray cattle and wild animals out of a standing crop, which is a constant problem for fields near the Yamuna floodplain.
Who can apply
- Farmers of Uttar Pradesh
- Land papers in your name
- Fencing to be put up on the notified land
What to take with you
- Aadhaar card
- Land papers (khatauni)
- Bank passbook
- Quotation or bill for the fencing
How to apply
Apply through the UP Agriculture Department portal at upagriculture.com, or ask at the block agriculture office about the Khet Suraksha scheme.
Rejected or still waiting? Check these first
Most applications fail for a correctable reason, not because the applicant was ineligible. Before assuming you do not qualify, check each of these:
- Fencing installed before the application was approved
- Land record is outdated or not in the applicant's name
- Bank details do not match Aadhaar, so the subsidy cannot be transferred
