UP Free Laptop / Tablet Yojana
A free laptop or tablet for meritorious students who have passed Class 10 or Class 12
The Uttar Pradesh government gives a free laptop or tablet to students who have done well in Class 10 or Class 12. It is meant to help with further study and with the things that now need a computer or internet, like forms, results and online classes. There is nothing to pay for the device.
Who can apply
- Student of Uttar Pradesh studying in or passing out of Class 10 or Class 12
- Good marks in the qualifying examination, since the device is given on merit
- Continuing into further study
What to take with you
- Aadhaar card
- Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet
- School or college enrolment details
How to apply
Your school or college uploads your details to the state's DigiShakti portal, digishakti.up.gov.in, and you then confirm your own registration there. Ask your class teacher or college clerk whether your name has been sent.
Rejected or still waiting? Check these first
Most applications fail for a correctable reason, not because the applicant was ineligible. Before assuming you do not qualify, check each of these:
- Name, date of birth or Aadhaar number entered by the school does not match your Aadhaar record
- Marks are below the merit cut-off fixed for that year
- School never uploaded the student's details in the first place
