Uttar Pradesh Government Youth & StudentShramik / Labour Worker

Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya Yojana

Free residential CBSE schooling from Class 6 to Class 12, including hostel accommodation, for children of migrant and construction workers

These are residential schools run by the Uttar Pradesh government for the children of construction workers and migrant workers. The child stays at the school and studies the CBSE course from Class 6 up to Class 12, and the stay itself is part of what is given. The family does not pay school fees or hostel charges.

Who can apply

  • Child of a construction worker or a migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh
  • Child entering Class 6, and continuing up to Class 12
  • Parent registered as a worker with the state labour or construction workers welfare board

What to take with you

  • Parent's construction worker or labour registration card
  • Child's Aadhaar card and birth certificate
  • Class 5 result or last school record
  • Residence proof

How to apply

Apply through the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board at upbocw.in, or at the district labour office, which handles the admission test and the seat list for the Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya.

Rejected or still waiting? Check these first

Most applications fail for a correctable reason, not because the applicant was ineligible. Before assuming you do not qualify, check each of these:

  • Parent's worker registration is not active or was never done, so the child does not count as a worker's child
  • Child's age or class does not match the entry class for that year

Still stuck after checking all of these? Tell us what happened and we will help you work out which office to approach.
